Ya know, a lot of my friends give me crap for being a Jeff Hardy fan, but then again, I don't really care what they think. Sure, his mic skills might not be as solid as others, but he makes up for it with his in-ring skill. But that's not even why I'm a fan -- I dig him because of what he represents. He's proven that it's possible to make mistakes and hit a few bumps in the road and still succeed and reach your goals. He proves it's cool to not be a follower or even a leader, but to walk your own path and not be ashamed of it. But no one really notices that -- they just notice his downfalls, whether it's on the mic or being suspended...because why highlight someone's good qualities for once?
That being said, Jeff was arrested yesterday after his home near Cameron, NC was searched (which I still haven't found out why), and the police report said officers found "approximately 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine, and items of drug paraphernalia."
Obviously the arrest gets a minus 5, because...well...the dude got arrested. That's never a "prevail." But instead of jumping down the guy's throat like a bunch of other blogs and media outlets have, I'm actually gonna hear what he has to say. He posted on Twitter that he'd make an official statement soon and that the media was a little off on what they reported (which confuses me because the police report was released), but everyone deserves to say their piece. Jeff's due in court Monday, so let's stop crucifying him before he even gets on the stand, huh?
